About

Statement of Intent

I am seeking a career in the field of Architecture where I may apply my talents and background as well as, gain insight and meet new challenges every day. Since the completion of my Masters of Architecture from Pratt Institute in 2008, I have worked for a Manhattan based commercial, residential, and interior’s firm as a Junior Architect and currently working for a Long Island based HVAC contractor as a Project Manager. This experience combined with preparing for the ARE has been both demanding and fulfilling.

I would consider myself as being a highly motivated individual who desires to be creatively involved in all areas of design, model building, presentational renderings, permit drawings, construction documents and material research. I am extremely focused and dedicated to my work. My past employment and life experiences have made me familiar with certain areas of the field; site analysis, schematic design, construction documents, code research, document coordination, quality control, and construction administration. I have held a great deal of responsibility that helped me acquire exceptional time management skills. I also believe in honesty and dependability, taking deadlines seriously and doing whatever feasible to successfully complete the task.

I hope to integrate ideas from the fields of architecture, urban planning and interior design to produce architecture of function with a high standard of design and sustainability. Treating each project as unique as each client. Facilitating a marriage of function and form to its structurally honest need resulting in a regional architecture that represents good design and long-lasting relevance. I am committed to researching solutions for structure, ventilation, day lighting, and heating. I hope to find innovative techniques to incorporate these issues into the design process, promoting a higher ethic in the use of technology and creating both ecologically and socially responsible development.

I am available for immediate full time employment and my hours are very flexible. I have great computer skills in both Macintosh and Windows operating systems with knowledge in a variety of programs; especially Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Sketchup, 3d max, and Autodesk AutoCad.
